The Toowoomba Regional Council has backed the Central Highfields Master Plan in a council meeting held yesterday.
All Councillors voted to move forward with the draft plan.
The draft document was developed after more than 7 months of consultation with around 500 locals. The focus will be on parklands and wide open spaces for the future development of Highfields.
Councillor Chris Tail describing it as a “pioneering project for the region.”
