International netball will return to Newcastle later this year, with the Diamonds taking on the team that beat them to gold last Sunday at the Commonwealth Games.
Australia and England will face off September 19 at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre, as part of the Quad Series.
It's been six years since the city hosted international netball.
Townsville will also host a match between the Diamonds and New Zealand, as part of the Constellation Cup on October 10.
"It's a push to acknowledge we're a grassroots sport that's played all over the country and we want to take our big events to where the fans are," Netball Australia's Executive General Manager of Events Chris Symington said.
Details on tickets are still to come.
