Apparently Most Of Us Don't Know How To Take A Proper Lunch Break Malcolm Turnbull

If it feels as though you're spending an increasing amount of time shovelling your lunch into your mouth while hunched over your desk, you're not alone.

New research has shown that just 28 per cent of those surveyed took a full lunch break.

Recruitment firm Hays undertook the study, with 1253 professionals quizzed on their lunchtime plans.

Some 22 per cent took half of their break, while seven per cent admitted that they never took their break.

This comes despite 93 per cent of those surveyed agreeing that they were more productive after stepping away from their desk for a period.

Two-thirds of respondents took their break time as a chance to move away from their desk to eat, while just over half said they preferred to have short five-minute breaks for fresh air.
