A man has died after his car collided with a bus carrying school kids at Londonderry in Sydney's north-west this morning.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Londonderry Road and The Driftway just after 8am, finding the bus veered across the lanes in both directions.
The male driver died at the scene while paramedics treated five students, with three taken to Nepean Hospital for minor injuries.
As for the bus driver, he escaped uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
A critical incident investigation has now been launched looking into all circumstances including why an unmarked police car was in the area at the time.
