Mature age Geelong recruit Tim Kelly has reportedly requested a trade away from the club after just one season.
Triple M's Hot Breakfast football reporter Tom Browne said that Kelly, who last night finished equal second in Geelong's best and fairest, informed the club on Wednesday of his desire to return home to Western Australia, nominating the West Coast Eagles as his club of choice.
This morning Channel 7 footy reporter Sam McClure all but confirmed the news on NAB Trade Radio.
"We can tell you officially this morning that Tim Kelly has requested – from the Geelong Football Club – a trade to the West Coast Eagles," McClure said.
Kelly has sighted several times this season that his wife and three children have struggled to cope living away from their extended family.
