Ex-Bardot singer Sophie Monk has been confirmed as the new Bachelorette, if that’s what you’re in to.
Monk says that her mum pushed her to go on the show to encourage her to meet someone outside the media.
“It is probably the only way I will meet someone not in the industry, someone grounded and normal,” she told News Corp.
“I just keep meeting all these people that have quite big egos in this game.
“Guys won’t come up to me in a bar; usually the people I’d get along with are shy and wouldn’t come up to me so I don’t get to meet anyone.”
She said she’s looking for someone that likes her for herself.
“I would love them to not want fame, just someone down to earth and sweet,” she said.
“Someone that really likes me for me.
“Someone that works because I don’t want to have to pay for everything.
“Someone who is not competitive… I would love funny but that is tricky.”
The Bachelorette will air on Channel 9 later this year, after the fifth season of The Bachelor.
You know, if that’s your thing.
