At the beginning of 2018 he was playing at Open Mic nights at the Cannery, and now Campbell Garratt is about to embark on his first one hour set at the Esperance Motor Hotel, this Saturday (8 September) from 830pm.
It has been an intense progression for this talented young Esperance man. In between working, Campbell has played at the Cannery Club 75 events and other gigs around town from the Travs to the Motor Hotel, plying his trade and building his repertoire.
He puts his recent success simply to hard work, practicing for hours a day.
Campbell has a unique and engaging style. His vocals are a wonderful mix of guttural soul and perfectly compliment his addictive guitar hooks. It is beautiful music.
Don’t take it from me however, have a listen for yourself at the link below when Campbell Garratt came in to the Triple M Esperance studios and belted out a cover (Bill Wuthers Ain’t No Sunshine When She’s Gone) and a belated Father’s Day inspired original. Enjoy!
